Which pages
Tell us which pages the receiving body has asked for and we translate those in full. Internal passports from Russia and the Central Asian states carry registration stamps and family pages that an international passport does not; they are translated stamp by stamp.
The spelling everything else follows
The Latin spelling in your international passport is the one the rest of your documents are matched to. Send the photo page along with anything else you are having translated, and every name in the set will agree with it — or carry a translator’s note where an original says otherwise.
How to order
Photograph the document on your phone — the whole page in frame, text readable, and the back if anything is written there — and send it to us on WhatsApp. There is nothing to install and no form to fill in.
We reply with the page count, a fixed price and a completion time. Nothing is payable until you accept the price in writing.
What “certified” means in the UK
England and Wales have no sworn translators. A certified translation is one that carries a written confirmation that it is a true and accurate translation of the original, with the date, a name, a signature and contact details, so that the body receiving it can check who stands behind it.
Ours comes as a Certificate of Accuracy on company letterhead. It names the translator who did the work and is signed and dated by the director of MENDEE LTD, an ITI Affiliate. Notarisation and apostille are separate steps carried out by a notary and by the FCDO; we translate and certify, we are not notaries.
Questions
How much does a passport translation cost?
About £25 per page as an indicative figure; pages that carry only a stamp or two are short pages and are not charged as full pages. You receive a fixed price in writing before any work begins.
Do you translate internal passports?
Yes. Internal passports, including their registration, marital-status and children pages, are translated in full from Tajik, Uzbek and Russian.
Do you need the original document?
No. A clear photo of the whole page, and of the back if anything is written there, is enough for the translation. Whether the body you are applying to wants to see your original is for them to say.
Will the Home Office accept the translation?
The Certificate of Accuracy carries what the Home Office guidance asks for: confirmation that the translation is accurate, the date, the translator’s full name, a signature and contact details. If a rejection is ever attributable to the quality of our translation, we re-issue it with a fresh certificate at no cost. We cannot advise on the application itself.
Do you translate Kazakh, Kyrgyz or Ukrainian documents?
On request. Tajik, Uzbek and Russian are translated by our own staff. Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Ukrainian go to a vetted linguist engaged for the job: we tell you before quoting, the price and time are confirmed per job, and no document is passed on without your agreement.
