Documents from Uzbekistan come in Latin-script Uzbek, Cyrillic-script Uzbek and Russian — sometimes all three within one person’s paperwork — and all of them are translated in full.

Documents from Uzbekistan
Civil-registry certificates of birth, marriage, divorce and death; nikah certificates; passports and ID; diplomas and transcripts; police clearance; bank and employment documents; court documents. For law firms: witness statements, country evidence and asylum bundles.
Latin, Cyrillic and Russian
Current official documents are in Latin-script Uzbek; older ones are in Cyrillic, and many are in Russian. The same person’s name can therefore appear in three forms across one set of documents.
We transliterate each name one way throughout, match it to the passport if you send the photo page, and add a translator’s note where the originals themselves disagree.

What “certified” means in the UK
England and Wales have no sworn translators. A certified translation is one that carries a written confirmation that it is a true and accurate translation of the original, with the date, a name, a signature and contact details, so that the body receiving it can check who stands behind it.
Ours comes as a Certificate of Accuracy on company letterhead. It names the translator who did the work and is signed and dated by the director of MENDEE LTD, an ITI Affiliate. Notarisation and apostille are separate steps carried out by a notary and by the FCDO; we translate and certify, we are not notaries.

Who translates Uzbek documents at Central Asia Translations?
Suhayl Odiljonzoda, our staff translator, who translates Uzbek, Tajik and Russian documents into English and holds a DBS Basic certificate. The Certificate of Accuracy names him and is signed by the director, Alex Choysen, an ITI Affiliate.
Can you translate Uzbek documents written in Cyrillic?
Yes. Latin-script and Cyrillic-script Uzbek are both translated in-house, as are Russian-language documents issued in Uzbekistan.
How much does a certified Uzbek translation cost?
About £25 per page as an indicative figure. You receive a fixed price in writing before any work begins, short or repetitive pages are not charged as full pages, and larger sets usually attract a discount.
Will the Home Office accept the translation?
The Certificate of Accuracy carries what the Home Office guidance asks for: confirmation that the translation is accurate, the date, the translator’s full name, a signature and contact details. If a rejection is ever attributable to the quality of our translation, we re-issue it with a fresh certificate at no cost. We cannot advise on the application itself.
Do you need the original document?
No. A clear photo of the whole page, and of the back if anything is written there, is enough for the translation. Whether the body you are applying to wants to see your original is for them to say.
